The bookshelves are open to library users, and they have free access to books and non-book materials.

Users can also obtain copies of materials not owened by the library through the interlibrary loan network.

MEDLINE (PubMed) and Igaku Chuo Zasshi (Japanese version) can be accessed via the Internet from this library and personal computers for users in the office.

The library provides databases such as Cochrane Library and Web of Science.

There are two other libraries on the campus associated with the Kawasaki University of Medical Welfare and Kawasaki College of Allied Health Professions.

User services such as circulation, reference and copy services are provided independently by each library. However, users can operate the computer terminals by themselves to locate materials belonging to any one of the three libraries through the library information system.

Most of the library services and its management are now controlled by a computer system. An identification card is needed to take materials out of the library on loan.
